Community Groups

Clunes FGA was formed in 1983 and has been operating from its present location since 1985. The club has built a substantial clubroom complex and extensive simulated clay target shooting range on the site which is highly regarded by shooters, due in part to its unique setting. Regular events continue to attract shooters and visitors from all areas of Victoria and interstate which helps promote Clunes and surrounding tourist locales.

Our club conducts a simulated clay target shooting event at its shooting range on the second Sunday of each month commencing at 10.30 am. Members welcome proficient and new shooters to experience clay shooting in a safe and enjoyable environment while taking on the challenge of well set targets. Full canteen facilities are provided during events and training is offered for new and junior shooters.

Water Identification Testing is also available at prearranged times.

Conservation is also an integral part of the association and members have established three significant wetlands on the grounds which form a natural wildlife tract and refuge for a variety of birds and wildlife.

Meetings are held at the clubrooms on Tuesday evening prior to the second Sunday of each month commencing at 7.30 pm. New members are most welcome to attend.
